想购买JB WebHosting VPS。

搜索论坛所有有关JB WebHosting的主题和回贴，确实觉得JB WebHosting最合适了。速度也非常，非常满意。但是有两个问题不确定答案，特发此贴。请版主和懂虚拟主机和VPS的朋友给予帮助。
1）UMVPS1方案提供的Guaranteed RAM/Burstable to是196MB/256MB，保证196MB，最高256MB。看到很多关于128MB安装MySQL运行效果不好的问题。又看到有朋友说VPS买来的时候基本环境就有，请问VPS的基本环境是什么？128MB安装MySQL能不能容纳同时在线人数300？如果不能，那么多少内存安装MySQL能同时在线多点人？
2）申请VPS的时候选择各项参数，比如安装什么系统，什么控制面板等等。Linux我不熟，一般用的Winxp，这些参数应该如何定制？能不能出个申请JB WebHosting的图解教学贴？
3）如果以后发现各项参数不够用，比如空间不够，比如内存不够，是否可以再申请付费增加？
因为咱也是想从开始做起的，所以没敢考虑用除了UMVPS1以外的其他几个方案。请大家给点意见。以后我会常来这个论坛的，这个主题就做为我请教大家问题的一个主题贴。先谢谢大家。

我来回答一下楼主的问题吧：
（1）JB的VPS基本运行环境都是做好了的，这个不用您操心，容纳同时在线人数300的话，128M的内存肯定是远远不够的，而且您说的这个容纳同时在线人数300人是指任何时间的同一秒钟还是同一分钟还是15分钟？这个区别可大了哦，如果您是指任何同一秒钟都在线300人的话，吼吼，恐怕一台双四核至强处理器，8G内存的独立服务器都撑不住，VPS就更别想了
（2）系统的话推荐CentOS5.2，控制面板推荐WHM/cPanel，全图形化，您只需要点点鼠标就可以了，这个控制板分为两部分，服务器端控制程序WHM和虚拟机端控制程序cPanel，其中服务器控制端程序WHM只有英文界面，但那些英文单词都是很简单的，我想高中生可能都可以看懂大部分，它的虚拟机端控制程序cPanel有中文界面，我就不废话了，中文总该都认识吧，呵呵
（3）万一不够用的话，可以加钱升级方案，比方从UMVPS1升级到UMVPS2，或者UMVPS3、UMVPS4，他们的服务很棒的，通常回复也很快，当然，如果碰上他们的节日的话回复就会慢一些

我指的不是同一秒钟，我的意思是像某些论坛显示在线人数300人或几百人，我不要求多，显示在线300人而且网站不能感觉到卡，这就OK了。
就拿UMVPS1来说，Guaranteed RAM/Burstable to是196MB/256MB，能不能创l办一个中型网站（主站Blog+论坛）？一天的客流量在300人左右。

1. It seems you are asking if a UMVPS1 will support mysql server with the amount of resources provided. The answer would be yes, but understandably this would pertain to a lower traffic site. Although, I can tell you that LXAdmin with mysql/lighttpd runs very efficient on even our UMVPS1 plans. If you have a larger site, I would suggest moving up to a UMVPS2 or above. 2. If you find your resources on a UMVPS1, for example, are inadequate you can upgrade your plan without any downtime. We would simply crank up your resources to the according plan on the fly.

This is not possible with a UMVPS1 but with proper tweaking and use of a lightweight web server such as lighttpd, you may be able to accomplish this with a UMVPS2 or above. I'm just being realistic.

There is no problem with starting off on a UMVPS1. If you notice that the VPS resources are inadequate you can upgrade accordingly.
Does your site have 300 sustained visitors? Or is it 300 visitors every 15 - 30 minutes, etc? If it's 300 every minute, then a UMVPS1 would fail on you quickly due to lack of memory.
