Thank you for contacting Online Support. Based on the information you've provided it appears you have a question about setting up your domain on your new hosting plan, even though it is still set up on the old plan. You will need to have whoever helped you set up the old plan remove the domain from that hosting plan before you will be able to set it up on a new plan. Once they have removed it, you should be able to use the domain within 24 hours.
After you set up your hosting account, you can change its primary domain name and add secondary domain names.
Using Deluxe, Premium, or Ultimate hosting accounts, you can host separate websites for your secondary domain names. For more information, see Hosting Multiple Websites on Your Hosting Account.
Using Economy hosting accounts, you can only point secondary domain names to your primary domain name's website.
NOTE: If you have an SSL certificate applied to your hosting account, you cannot change your primary hosted domain name.
If the domain name you want to add and your hosting account are in the same shopper account, we automatically update the domain's DNS information to point to the hosting account.
If the domain name you want to add and your hosting account are in different shopper accounts, you need to manually update your DNS information to point to the hosting account. We recommend updating your A record (IP address). For more information, see Finding Your Hosting Account's IP Address.
To Add Domains
Log in to your Account Manager.
From the My Products section, click Web Hosting.
Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
From the Settings menu, select Domain Management.
Click Add Domain.
Enter the domain name in the Domain field.
For Deluxe and Ultimate plans, enter a new or existing folder in the Folder field. This is where the new domain will point. If you do not enter a folder, your domain will point to the hosting directory root.
Do not enter any spaces in the Folder field.
Click OK.
To Remove Domains
Log in to your Account Manager.
From the My Products section, click Web Hosting.
Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
From the Settings menu, select Domain Management.
Select the domain(s) to remove and click Remove.
Click OK. The domain's subdomains will also be removed.
It can take up to 48 hours to remove the domain from your account.
To Change Your Primary Hosted Domain
NOTE: You cannot change the primary domain name on your account to a domain name already hosted on your account. You must remove the domain name from your account first, and then change it to the primary domain name.
Log in to your Account Manager.
From the My Products section, click Web Hosting.
Next to the hosting account you want to use, click Launch.
From the Settings menu, select Domain Change (Primary).
Select your primary hosted domain, and then click Change Primary.
Enter the new primary domain for your account, and then click OK.
NOTE: A domain change may break your site if you have WordPress installed. If it does, see the instructions on WordPress's site.
