他们说的太多了, 我选择几段, 详细到LP论坛去看下.
Huh? The idea of the Internet and World Wide Web is that normally you can get to anywhere from anywhere else. Have you actually tried to get to your host from outside the U.S.? What happened? It's possible that some countries or ISPs may block some addresses with content they don't like (e.g., China), but that's unusual. I've never heard of anything at any Web-hosting company that says, "we serve only these countries or geographic areas." Either there was a (temporary) system failure somewhere that didn't let you get to your host from overseas, or someone towards your end of the line is blocking your site for some reason and moving its content to LunarPages won't solve that problem for long (it will just be blocked again).
Phil
P.S. Is the problem that you have to use dial-up to access your current host? Any good Web-hosting service will allow full access to maintain your site via the Web (only local dial-up needed). LunarPages certainly lets you do all your work via the Web.

Actually Phil,
Mickey-mouse is currently in China and the great Firewall as it's know sometimes blocks entire servers because of one web site.
@Mickey-Mouse, yes, you can e-mail the FTP information and database information and Lunarpages would be able to move your web site over to Lunarpages.
I hope this helps.
If it's his site that's being blocked, then changing providers won't help. If the server he shares is blocked because of some other site, what guarantee does he have that the Great Firewall of China won't block him again because of some other "offensive" site on LP? Other than getting a dedicated server and keeping a clean nose (as far as China is concerned), there's no way to guarantee that he (and others) won't be blocked on LP. That is, unless LP has chosen to "pull a Google" and cooperate with the PRC in booting certain Web sites! Let's hope not (or that if they are, they're offered dedicated hosting at no increase in cost).
Phil
Actually Phil, From what mickey said, it sounds like he's only over there for a short time, though I could be wrong.
True, that nothing can be guaranteed with the great firewall of China but you could get a dedicated Ip address, that way you won't be blocked from China because of other sites on the same server.
I hope this helps.
Well in addition to what Ryan noted, yes people do get blocked on our servers who are in China, and because we have over 180 servers, we usually just move the customer when it happens after checking they can ping the IP of the new server from China (if they don't want to buy a dedicated IP).
Only a few servers have ever ended up being blocked, but moves only take an hour or less usually to be done from server to server, so it isn't what I'd call a big deal to do that for a customer if it does happen. Yes, it might be a pain, but that's the price you have to pay if you are in China to have your site working for you and others across the Chinese instituted blockade.
1. Thanks for all the help.
2. Yes , i am in the F...king China now but I couldnt accesss most sites in states although I use
a T1, but i will go back to Canada in September.
3. Changing to LP, first because i liked here, people and service, but I realized a little bit late.
Second, Great Firewall blocked all the site from my current host, not only my share server.
4. As I checked some sites from LP from the customers review section, they are running silky
smooth in China as now.
5. after, i moved, will a dedicated IP solve all the hassle block thing or i have to get a
dedicated server ?
