Hello,
To add on a domain log in to your cpanel, click on the icon labeled Addon Domains. Then enter the domain name that you wish to add, accept the Username/directory/subdomain Name: When you setup an add on domain it makes a folder in your public_html folder and you upload the site content into that folder. Enter a password and click Add Domain!
An add on domain allows you to run a separate web site to your primary domain. When you setup an add on domain it makes a folder in your public_html folder and you upload the site content into that folder. Essentially you are then running 2 separate sites, separate content, off one account.
Because of the way the server sets up the addon domain, it is not apparent from the outside to be attached or even related to the primary domain. It should also be noted that cPanel uses a subdomain of the primary to map the addon domain to the account.
If you require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us again.
I hope this helps.
