SoftLayer Engineers will be upgrading the IOS and rebooting the backend/private network routers across the Dallas network on March 28th 2009 starting at 3:00am CDT.

Customer Impact: Periodically during this maintenance, customers will not have access to backend/private services (DNS, updates, NAS, iSCSI, etc) as well as server to server communications on the Dallas backend network. Connectivity from remote cities to Dallas servers and services will also be affected. While the maintenance window is set for 2 hours, we expect no longer than 15 - 20 minutes of downtime. Customers are advised to disconnect any NAS and/or iSCSI mounts during this maintenance as a sudden loss in connectivity could potentially cause file system corruption and/or loss of data.

此期间，客户将无法访问 backend/private services (DNS, updates, NAS, iSCSI, etc) 以及达拉斯backend网络中服务器到服务器的通信。远程城市连接到达拉斯的服务器和服务也将受到影响。同時，此次维护預計为2个小时，我们期望其不超过15 - 20分钟down機时间。我們建議客户在此维护期間断开NAS或iSCSI，因爲有可能连接突然斷開，會导致文件系统损坏或数据丢失。
