Thank you for contacting Online Support.  When you would like to make a folder a root folder for an application, please refer to the steps below to make the necessary changes:

• Go to the Go Daddy Account Login Page
• Log in using your account username (which may be the same as your customer number) and password

• Select 'Hosting' from the 'My Products' list on the left side of the page.
• Click 'Manage Account' to access your control panel
• Click on the 'IIS Settings' icon under 'Content'
• Select the 'Create' icon and enter the folder name
• Check the box to the left of 'Anonymous Access' and 'Set Application Root'
• Anonymous Access enables an anonymous user to view files in a directory through a Web browser using HTTP
• Set Application Root enables you to set the directory or subdirectory as an IIS application root within your site. An application root is the root directory for an application. All directories and files contained within the application root are considered part of the application.
• When you have made these changes, click 'Continue' to save your changes

I regards to uploading files via background programs and other programs, please reply to this email with clarification on the programs/process you are attempting to use.
