我是VDS用户，怎么升级PHP的版本？

我是VDS用户，现在PHP版本是5.1.6，想升级到5.2以上，发了邮件给GODADDY，回复邮件内容：

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for contacting Expert Hands.  We have received your request for a quote to upgrade PHP on your server to 5.2.6.  We offer 5.2.17 as it is a newer version of PHP 5.2 and is compatible with 5.2.6.  To upgrade, we would need to apply a custom support fee of $49.99 to your account.  If you wish to proceed with the installation of PHP 5.2.17, please reply with ALL the following:

1. Last four digits of a payment method on file.
2. Approval for access to your server as root or administrative user.
3. Written acknowledgment/agreement of the $49.99 fee.
4. Written acknowledgment/agreement of the following potential issues, including, but not limited to:
- Functionality differences between the old and new software.
- Compatibility issues of installed services/applications/dependencies.
- Application version differences (PHP, MySQL, etc.).
5. Written acknowledgment/agreement of our Expert Hands Terms of Services located at:

程序要求5.2以上，最好达到5.3，没有其它办法吗，谁帮我看下回复邮件，为什么要收费？
